I have observed the impact CTE - FCS classes have had on my students and the opportunities they have been given during my 30+ years of teaching. Teaching ProStart, taking multi-occupational classes, and completing a literature review on career education models and career interventions for my master’s degree, have been challenging and stimulating; I continue to find things I want to "try" on my students. Brain research and the fact that CTE and FCS philosophies and curriculum have evolved and continue to meet the current and future needs of industry and our students reinforces my belief that CTE is a “best practice” in education.
